3-10-13 Sister Barfeild taught
The Atonement
The most important thing of human kind.
Goals of the month:
To gain strength
To overcome sin and adversity
To find peace and healing
To have my love to and commitment for the Savior grow.
To have a more great desire to share my testimony
The sacrifice Jesus Christ made to help us overcome adversity, sin, and death.

Differences Between
Miss.Paton
She did not have the gospel to reassure her that she would see her son again .
Kaleb
Had the gospel to help him know that he would she his mother and siblings again and that they were still a family.
Having knowledge of the plan of
salvation helps you to know that when
someone dies you will be able to see them again.
We all have an older brother, Jesus Christ, and he
did in fact die for us and if we try hard then
someday we can be reunited with Him.
Jesus Christ loves us and wants us to return to him and our Heavenly Father in Heaven.

Combined youth
THE STICK EXAMPLE:
No matter how you pick up the stick the other end comes with it.
One end of the stick represents the choices you make and the other represents the consequences that comes with it.
SUPORT GROUP: They try to help you make the right choices so that you can have good consequences. Have a good support group.
THE WORLD: will try to make you follow in its ways even when they have un-holy consequences.
The world will try in every way to convince you that its' way is ok.
The For Strength of Youth is a great thing to have as part of your support group.
Don't justify things based on your situation, and don't make them seem like a small matter.
For The Strength of Youth-
"Dating- Plan activities that help you remain close to the strength and spirit of the Lord."
Find your Holy places:
-Temple
-Chapel
-Home
Be The Light

2-17-17 Sister Barfield taught
Moral agency
The ability to choose and act for yourself
We are free to choose our actions but we cannot choose your consequences
Agency is the ability to choose between good and evil, but to choose the good is what gives us freedom. The scriptures and our leaders are the ones that teach us to know the difference between good and evil. Which is which?
I know that agency is the ability to choose and that I have it. Also the choices i make have consequences and I can not choose those and if it is a consequence that is not pleasing then I have chosen a bad path. However it was still the choice i made using my agency.
There was a talk given by Sister Elaine S. Dalton some of my favorite parts were:
" i wrote my list of things i would always do and things i would never do "
" when my high school friends said just one drink wont hurt i laughed and said i
decided when i was 12 not to do that "
" live your list ''
" you are guardians of something more precious than rubies "

aka plan of happiness
When you have no direction your life is like unto that of a toy boat, when the river goes slow you'll go slow, when the river goes fast you'll go fast, and when the water get dangerous and you have no rudder or sail to guide you will sink.
Let the Gospel be you rudder, and the scriptures be your sails.
This plan was made so that we could return to him.
